The Visionary I Ching — A Book of Changes for Intuitive Decision Making

ebook_VisionaryIChing_rgbF

The Visionary I Ching: A Book of Changes for Intuitive Decision Making is a poetic and beautifully illustrated adaptation of the ancient Taoist divination system. It is a useful tool for the cultivation of predictive intelligence, to help leaders and individuals manage accelerating change in an age of anxiety, make strategic professional and relationship decisions, improve timing and reduce stress. O’Brien’s The Visionary I Ching is a masterful adaptation complete with 64 evocative paintings by Joan Larimore for the hexagrams. The text upgrades the ancient oracle’s traditional patriarchal and militarist language, while carefully preserving the essence of strategic wisdom, which is interpreted more from a modern Taoist than Confucian perspective.

Divination: Sacred Tools for Reading the Mind of God

In a frantic age, an age of accelerating change, when too many decisions must be made too quickly, intuitively informed decision-making is an absolute requirement for success and happiness. Divination: Sacred Tools for Reading the Mind of God is the first book to point the decision-making lens on classical divination systems—Astrology, Numerology, the I Ching, Tarot and Runes—and show how they can be used to support better decisions, better relationships and less stress. Paul O’Brien—I Ching scholar, author and founder of Tarot.com—clarifies the difference between authentic divination systems and fortune-telling. O’Brien explains the psychology of how time-honored sets of sacred symbols, or “archetypes,” are interpreted to stimulate intuition, in order to think outside the box and resolve problems that logic can’t handle. Divination tells the history of divination systems, including violent persecution by dogmatic religions. (Ironically, as the book points out, there are more verses in the Bible wherein Yahweh approves divinatory practices than condemns them.) Divination includes true stories of the use of divination by everyone—from lovers to business executives. The book shows how you can stimulate wisdom and courage in order to manifest love, success and happiness using ancient sacred tools that were once the exclusive province of sages and kings, but which are now available to all.
